The graphic series Black Metal, created after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, reflects on the destructive power and uncertainty of the war. The practice of intuitive drawing has become a way for the artist to cope with external events, a kind of escape. Although the works are executed in a style reminiscent of post-graffiti, elements of military reality can be seen in the abstract spots: there is dynamics, a map, a pattern.
